I feel so privileged to have been asked to travel to Iraq to play for the troops and wanted to do something extra for the men and women who are serving our country. Notes from Abroad

"You're Home" has made the rounds far and wide, and is universally loved both here and back on the home front. One soldier shared with me that he and his wife listened to it together while chatting over Skype, and promptly both cried their eyes out. He said something to the effect of,

"For a civilian, she [Keri] really does 'get it'. There's a lot of power there, and it was wonderfully kind of Keri to commit the time and talent to such a heartwarming declaration of support."

"Ms. Noble,

My name is SSG Bryan. I am in Baghdad and work for the unit that runs the facility you stayed in at Camp Victory. I am a Team Leader for the PSD unit there that provides security for visiting dignitaries and celebrities. I was at home on leave at the time of your visit unfortunately. But I did download the song that you offerred for us ("You're Home") and LOVE IT!!! I will be looking for your CD upon my return to the states here in a little over a month.

I hope you had a good time during your visit to the troops. Having been deployed 4 times now, I can say from personal experience that visits such as yours are a major blessing to the troops. It really gives us an opportunity to detach from our current situation and think about home a little bit. So for that, thank you for what you and your crew do for us."
